According to official RTI findings, 9,64,897 candidates registered for various teaching and non-teaching positions within the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS). Of these, approximately 8.5 lakh candidates are estimated to have participated in the examination held on January 10th and 11th, 2026.
With 15,762 vacancies available—comprising 9,921 KVS posts and 5,841 NVS posts—and an attendance of 8.5 lakh, competition remains fierce for these central government roles.
