Educational Qualification
UPTET Eligibility for Paper I (Primary-Level Teachers): Applicants must satisfy any one of the following criteria to qualify for Paper I:
- Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a UGC-recognized university or institution, followed by a mandatory two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd). Those currently in their final year of DElEd are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates must possess a graduation degree followed by a Basic Training Certificate (BTC) obtained through distance education. Final-year students are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates must secure a graduation or post-graduation degree with a minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks, alongside currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education (BEd).
- Candidates must hold a graduation or post-graduation degree with at least 45 percent marks, along with the successful completion of a BEd program.
- Candidates must have completed their graduation alongside a BTC in Urdu. Final-year students are likewise eligible to apply.
- Candidates must possess a graduation degree along with a teaching diploma from Aligarh Muslim University.
- Candidates must have completed their graduation and acquired the Moavill-E-Urdu degree prior to August 8, 1997.
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50 percent marks, coupled with a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) degree.
UPTET Eligibility for Paper II (Upper Primary-Level Teachers): Applicants must fulfill any one of the criteria listed below to qualify for Paper II:
- Candidates must complete their graduation from a recognized college or university, accompanied by a two-year DElEd (BTC) program.
- Candidates must hold a graduation or post-graduation degree with at least 50 percent marks, along with a BEd or BEd Special Education qualification. Final-year students in these programs are also eligible to apply.
