SSC MTS 2026 Exam

The SSC MTS Recruitment 2026 presents a golden career opportunity for matriculates seeking secure government employment. The selection process features a written examination followed by a physical test (exclusively for Havaldar applicants). SSC MTS 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill three primary eligibility requirements to qualify for the SSC MTS 2026 Exam. Before submitting their application forms, candidates must review the minimum SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria concerning nationality, educational qualifications, and age limits. Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate is required to be

  1. A citizen of India
  2. Subject of Nepal
  3. Subject of Bhutan
  4. Tibetan Refugee
  5. Person of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Afghanistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam.

Age Limit

In accordance with the recruitment rules of various user departments, the specified age limits for SSC MTS and Havaldar posts are as follows:

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)- Candidates must be at least 18 years old and must not exceed 25 years of age.

Havaldar Age Limit- Candidates must be at least 18 years old and must not exceed 27 years of age.

In addition to the standard age requirements, candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for age relaxations in accordance with prevailing government rules.

Educational Qualification 

Applicants must have successfully passed the Matriculation (10th Standard) examination or an equivalent qualification from a recognized state board, university, or educational institute to be eligible for the SSC MTS 2026 exam. There is no minimum percentage requirement in class 10. 

SSC MTS 2026 Language for CBT

For the first time, the SSC MTS computer-based examination will be administered in "English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages", allowing candidates to select their preferred language during the application process.

SSC MTS Havaldar 2026 Application Fee

The application fee for the SSC MTS 2026 exam is Rs. 100/-. Fee payments can be completed exclusively through digital payment methods such as Net Banking, Credit/Debit cards, BHIM, and UPI.

Candidates belonging to the SC, ST, PwD, and Ex-servicemen categories are completely exempted from paying the application fee. Furthermore, female candidates are also fully exempted from fee payments.

The SSC MTS 2026 evaluation process comprises two primary levels: Paper-1 and PET/PST (for Havaldar only). Paper-1 is conducted online as an objective-type multiple-choice question test

SSC MTS Havaldar Paper-1 Exam Pattern 

The revised SSC MTS Paper-1 exam pattern, introduced by authorities last year, remains consistent for both posts. The Computer-Based Examination is divided into two mandatory sessions: Session I and Session II. A negative marking scheme applies a penalty of 1 mark for each incorrect answer in Session 2, whereas Session 1 features no negative marking.

SSC MTS 2026 Exam Centre

The SSC administers the MTS exam annually across multiple centers nationwide. Candidates are given the opportunity to select their preferred exam centers while filling out their application forms. Final center allocation is determined by SSC based on candidate preferences and seat availability.
