The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released 552 vacancies for the Head Constable {Assistant Wireless Operator (AWO) / Tele-Printer Operator (TPO)} in the Delhi Police Examination 2025. A four-stage selection process is conducted to recruit eligible candidates for these esteemed posts. The 1st stage of the exam has concluded, and the 2nd stage physical exam for CBT-qualified candidates is scheduled for 2nd and 3rd August 2026.

Delhi Police AWO/TPO Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates aspiring to apply for the Delhi Police Head Constable posts must satisfy the mandatory eligibility criteria specified by the recruitment board. 

Education Qualification

Applicants applying for the Delhi Police Head Constable examination must have passed the 10+2 (Class 12th) examination from a recognized board with Science and Mathematics as core subjects.

OR hold a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the trade of Mechanic-cum-Operator Electronic Communication System.

Age Limit (as on 01/07/2025)

  1. Candidates should be of a minimum of 18 years of age and a maximum of 27 years of age.
  2. Candidates must not be born before 02-01- 1998 and not later than 01-01-2007.
  3. There will be an age relaxation given to certain candidates as per the government rules and regulations.

Delhi Police Head Constable AWO/TPO Salary

The starting in-hand salary ranges between Rs. 34,000 and Rs. 38,000 per month. The salary structure follows the 7th Pay Commission guidelines. As per previous notifications, the basic pay scale is Rs. 25,500 - Rs. 81,100 (Pay Level 4). House Rent Allowance (HRA) is calculated at 24% (approx. Rs. 6,120), Dearness Allowance (DA) is a percentage of the gross salary, and Travel Allowance stands at Rs. 3,600.

Delhi Police Head Constable AWO/TPO 2026 Admit Card

The Staff Selection Commission issues the Delhi Police Head Constable Admit Card for the written examination exclusively to candidates with successfully submitted applications. The hall ticket will be made available on the official SSC website (ssc.gov.in), and candidates can download it using their registration number and password via online mode only.

Following the computer-based examination, SSC releases a provisional answer key along with correct responses on its official portal.
