Delhi Police Driver Recruitment 2025 - Eligibility Criteria

To be considered eligible for the Delhi Police Constable 2025 examination, applicants must meet the following mandatory criteria:

1) Nationality/ Citizenship

Candidates must be Indian citizens.

2) Education Qualification

Applicants must have completed their 10+2 (Senior Secondary) education from a recognized board by the application closing date.

Educational qualification is relaxed to 11th pass for the following categories:

i) Current Delhi Police personnel serving as bandsmen, buglers, mounted constables, drivers, or dispatch riders.

ii) Dependents (sons) of active, deceased, or retired Delhi Police staff, including Multi-Tasking Staff.

3) Age limit (as on 01/07/2025)

The age requirement for candidates is 21 to 30 years, with a birth date between 02-07-1995 and 01-07-2004. Upper age limit relaxations apply as follows:

(i) Up to 5 years for SC/ST category candidates.

(ii) Up to 3 years for OBC category candidates.

iii) Up to 5 years for distinguished sports personnel who have represented their state or country in national or international competitions within the last three years.

iv) Departmental candidates of the Delhi Police may avail age relaxation up to 40 years (General), 43 years (OBC), and 45 years (SC/ST).

v) Sons of current, retired, or deceased Delhi Police staff/Multi-Tasking Staff are eligible for age relaxation up to 29 years.

4) Essential Requirement

a) Proven ability to operate heavy vehicles safely.

b) Possess a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving license.

c) Practical knowledge of vehicle maintenance.

Delhi Police Driver Exam Pattern 2025

Delhi Police Driver Recruitment 2025 Salary

SSC Delhi Police Drivers are compensated under Level 4 pay scale, ranging from Rs. 5,200 – 20,200 with a Grade Pay of 4,000. As per the 7th Pay Commission, personnel also receive allowances including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travelling Allowance (TA), and ration provisions.

Delhi Police Driver Recruitment 2025 Admit Card

Admit cards for the 2025 Constable exam will be available on official SSC regional websites approximately 15 days before the scheduled test date. The written examination took place in November-December 2025.
