JAIIB CAIIB 2026 Eligibility Criteria

JAIIB Exam

  • Candidates must be members of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF)
  • Candidates have worked (or formerly worked) in a bank/financial institution
  • Candidates should have completed the 12th standard or equivalent. Exceptions may be made for clerical/supervisory staff with the bank manager's recommendation
  • Candidates are allowed a maximum of 5 attempts to clear the examination within a period of 3 years from the date of first registration, whichever is earlier
  • There is no age limit to apply online for the JAIIB exam

CAIIB Exam

  • Candidates must be members of the IIBF. Additionally, they need to have passed the JAIIB examination
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 12th standard pass or equivalent; no additional academic qualification beyond JAIIB
  • Candidates must be currently employed in a bank/financial institution
  • Candidates are allowed a maximum of 5 attempts within a 3-year period from the date of first registration, whichever is earlier
  • No age limit required for the CAIIB exam
