As per the SSC MTS Selection Process, candidates must clear a Computer-Based Examination for both Multi-Tasking Staff and Havaldar positions. SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2026

• SSC MTS Paper-I is an online paper having multiple-choice questions in sections: Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Aptitude, and General Awareness.
• The entire paper consists of a total of 90 questions and 270 marks. 
• The new SSC MTS Paper-I Exam will be conducted in 2 Sessions (Session I and Session II)
• Both Sessions will be mandatory to be attempted.
• Not attempting any session will disqualify the candidate.

SSC MTS Paper-I Exam Pattern: Important Points

1. The total number of marks is 270 as per the latest pattern.
2. Paper- I will be an objective type(Multiple Choice Questions).
3. The questions will be set in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages for Session I and the General Awareness Section of Session II.
4. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2 and there will be no negative marking in Session 1
5. The timing for visually handicapped cerebral palsy candidates is 45 Minutes each session.

Candidates who successfully apply for SSC Havaldar vacancies are required to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test & Physical Standard Test subsequent to qualifying the SSC MTS Tier-1 Exam.
