UGC NET Result 2026 Certificate Validity

The UGC NET certificate for Assistant Professor (Lectureship) offers lifetime validity. However, the UGC NET JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) award letter remains valid for three years from the date of issuance. Holding a UGC NET certificate is a mandatory qualification for applying to Assistant Professor roles across Indian universities and colleges. 

• Assistant Professor/Lectureship: The UGC NET certificate for this position is valid for a lifetime.
• JRF (Junior Research Fellowship): The JRF award letter is valid for three years from the date it is issued.
