How to Calculate Marks Using WB ANM GNM Paper & Answer Key?
The examination paper is structured into two distinct categories.
- Category 1 consists of 85 questions, each carrying 1 mark. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks
- Category 2 consists of 15 questions, each carrying 2 marks for a total of 115 marks. There is no negative marking
- Use this formula to calculate your total score:
Total Score = (C1 × 1 − W1 × 0.25) + (C2 × 2)
WB ANM GNM Question Paper 2026 Structure
The exam was administered in both English and Bengali, except for the Basic English and Logical Reasoning sections. The paper consisted of 100 MCQs to be completed within a 90-minute timeframe. Note that there is a negative marking scheme of 1/4 mark for every incorrect answer.
- Category 1 has 85 questions of 1 mark each
- Category 2 has 15 questions, 2 marks each.
- 1/4 of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer in Category 1.
- There is no negative marking in Category 2.
